Location

The geographical location of a hosting company's data centre is another critical component for ensuring top reliability. Many local hosting companies, (no matter how advanced) will be at some type of disadvantage. Whether their data centre is in threat of being struck by tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, or major power outages... It is out of their control.

A city's Internet user base can also affect a hosting company's reliability. If a hosting company is located in a city with a large Internet user base, typically their data speeds will suffer as a result of line over subscription, which is the main cause of severe bottlenecks.

We are fortunate now to be able to offer multiple backup sites with high speed recovery techniques that were unheard of only 2 years ago.

Power

It is a fact that in order to maintain low to zero downtime not only must your equipment and data connection be in top shape but your power supply must be as well. Our server farm  provides uninterrupted AC and DC circuits to our equipment. Redundant Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPSs) protect each 15-amp circuit. These True Online UPSs filter the power feed, compensating for surges, high-voltage spikes, switching transients, sags, electrical line noise, frequency variations and other conditions that prevent the proper operation of our equipment.

Power Distribution Units (PDU)
Advanced remote power distribution and control for server administrators. Our APC MasterSwitches have the base functionality to allow for remote rebooting or power control of attached equipment. The MasterSwitch is a power distribution unit (PDU) that allows users to control power to connected devices. The on/off/reboot capability of this unit is ideal for any situation where simply rebooting or power cycling is required of equipment or "locked-up" server.
